Five Finger Death Punch
ファイヴ・フィンガー・デス・パンチ(Five Finger Death Punch, 5FDP)は、2005年に結成されたアメリカ・カルフォルニア出身のヘヴィメタルバンド。House Of The Rising Sun(Official PV)
ギターゾルダン・バドリーとドラムジェレミースペンサーを中心に結成。
バンド名は古い武道映画から付けられた。
初期はアメリカンなサウンド全開のメタルコアという感じで、1stアルバム『The Way Of The Fist 』のジャケットなどGN'Rの1st『アペタイト・フォ～』彷彿とさせていた。
またメタルゴッド"ロブハルフォード”をゲストにシングルを発表したり、PANTERAの"NewLevel"をカヴァー(日本盤収録）など遊び心十分なバンド。
将来性の期待と埋もれそうな予感が交錯させていた。しかし枚数を重ねる毎に、独特のメロディ展開などでオリジナリィを深め、連作『The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell ,Volume1・2』で歌に重点をおいた「歌えるメタルコア」というべき独特のサウンドを展開している。
