OPETH/オーペス
１９９０年に結成されたスウェーデンのストックホルム出身プログレッシヴメタル,プログレッシヴデスメタルバンド。

初期はテクニカルなデスメタルでクリーンと歪みと静と動を使い分けた
楽曲展開によりプログレデスの代表格、日本では「北欧の暗黒神」の愛称で呼ばれる。

近年ではデスヴォイスを抑え目になり
よりプログレッシヴロックに近いアプローチをとっている。
