HammerFall/ハンマーフォール
ハンマーフォール（HammerFall 1993年～ ）は、スウェーデン・ヨーテボリ出身のパワー・メタル/ヘヴィメタルバンド。メタル暗黒時代の90年代を支えたバンドの一つ。
スウェーデン・ヨーテボリ出身らしい純粋なパワーメタルバンドで近年のメロスピやメロデスが人気ではあるが、
"ピュアメタル"バンドとしてヨーロッパなどでは人気が高いようです。
元々はギターのオスカーと現イン・フレイムスのイェスパー・ストロムブラードが中心のサイド・プロジェクトとして結成された。
立ち上げメンバーに現ダーク・トランキュリティのミカエル・スタンネ(Vo)も参加していた。
当時としては同郷（スウェーデン・ヨーテボリ）バンドによるお遊びバンドのつもりだったが、1996年あたりからバンドとして本格的活動にシフトしたようである。
